Information medicine is a branch of modern integrative medicine that uses information to support the body’s natural self-renewal processes. It starts from the idea that all cells communicate through energy signals, and disturbances in this communication can lead to disease. Through precise diagnostics and the application of correctly selected information, information medicine helps the body to return to balance and restore its functions at the cellular level.
When there is an imbalance in this communication (due to stress, trauma, toxins, etc.), there is a regulation disorder that manifests itself as a disease. Information medicine uses specialized devices to identify these imbalances and then applies precisely determined information – the so-called. frequency codes – to restore proper biological functions.
Unlike classical medicine, which mainly treats symptoms, information medicine tends to identify and correct the cause of the problem at the deepest, informational level, often even before the disease manifests itself clinically.
Information medicine, as an integral part of an integrative and complementary medical approach, represents a bridge between classical medicine and innovative therapeutic methods. This approach does not negate the basic principles of classical medicine, but complements them, enabling a personalized approach that takes into account the unique needs of each patient.
An integrative approach in information medicine enables synergy between traditional medical treatments and modern methods, which provides comprehensive support to the body. This holistic approach not only treats symptoms, but also focuses on disease prevention, focusing on the cause of disease, body revitalization and mental well-being. This comprehensive approach not only optimizes physical health, but also contributes to the overall quality of life of patients.
Information medicine as a branch of modern medical science appeared at the end of the 20th century, when traditional approaches to treatment began to expand. This approach focuses on information as the basic regulator of all biological processes.
In 1989, a new era in medical science began – a direction was introduced that, in addition to matter and energy, uses information as a therapeutic tool. Information in this context represents a precise message to the cells of the organism, which gives them instructions on how to properly perform their functions and establish healthy intercellular communication.
Already in 1990, within the Neurobiology Laboratory of the Scientific Research Institute of Neurology and Psychiatry in Kyiv, the Department for Experimental Information Therapy was established, as well as the Ukrainian Medical-Biological Center for Science and Practice “Informotherapy”. This step represents the formal establishment of information therapy as a scientific discipline.
In the years that followed, numerous international conferences were organized under the name:
“Informotherapy – therapeutic aspects and practical application”, where the latest research and clinical experiences from this field were presented. The culmination of that period took place in 2004, when the tenth jubilee conference on information therapy was held in Kyiv, and that’s when the International Association of Information Therapists was founded.

dr. Reinhold Voll, a German scientist, discovered through experimental measurements the informative connection of certain points on the skin with vital organs and systems in humans. He discovered the existence of a group of certain biologically active zones on the skin, united in informational channels, which have an informational-functional connection with different organs and systems.
He was born in Berlin on February 17, 1909. As the son of a famous architect, he first completed architecture and then medical studies at the universities in Tøbingen and Hamburg. During his career, Dr. Fol first worked in the field of preventive medicine and child protection. Later, during World War II, he worked intensively on scientific research in the field of electropuncture medical measurements. Using very sensitive and precise instruments, he discovered that certain points on the surface of the skin show different values. He determined the direct connection of measuring points with internal systems and organs and then systematized them in the so-called “information channels (IK)” which represents his greatest contribution in the development of a new and revolutionary diagnostic method of ElectroPunctureDiagnostics – EPD or info-diagnostics. After the war, he was deported to the USSR, where he was allowed to continue further research based on what he had already achieved. The life work of dr. Fola represents an accidental discovery of the informative effect of drugs on the human body. 1953 he discovered that the measured values of all organs change significantly when the patient is in contact with a drug and some chemical or biochemical substance.
Such testing gave direct insight into the informative effect of the drug on the organs without prior introduction into the body. In recent times, the special significance of Fol’s discoveries lies in the practical application in the field of information therapy, technical-technological developments of new medical-diagnostic devices and new applications of bio-information technologies in medicine, whereby Ukrainian scientists occupy leading positions in the world.
dr. Reinhold Voll died in Stuttgart in 1989.
Back in the early 90s, thanks to the work of dr. Zenoviј Skripnyuk – a prominent Ukrainian biologist and pioneer in the field of information therapy – a new direction in medical science was developed, which deals with the therapeutic effect of information on the organism. In his works, including the works “Electropuncture diagnosis and information therapy”. 1992. Bioinformatics: «Informative and negentropic therapy». – 1995, the foundations of the bioinformatics approach in medicine were laid.
Information therapy is based on the fact that cells, in addition to exchanging matter and energy, communicate through the informational biofield. When this communication is disrupted – due to illness, stress, trauma or external influences – dysfunction of cellular processes and disruption of homeostasis occurs.
